The Chained Coffin (Indiegogo campaign)

The Chained Coffin is a 240 page, Lovecraftian-Noir graphic novel with individual chapters being released every two months. A story of epic proportions, filled with intrigue and horror as a disgraced homicide detective seeks atonement for past sins by helping a girl victim to a terrible curse.

Each chapter will be in black and white, with every two chapters with full-color introduction pages.

Colleen DerKamp used to be a normal girl, one day, her a strange fate befell on her. Subjected to a terrible ritual against her will, she becomes the new "Host of Darkness." With the help of the enigmatic Lucian Copper, she escapes the Cult of Guff, and now on the run, she's alone to face her new fate. 

Enter, Nathan Rowe, a disgraced homicide detective now working a private investigator, tasked with protecting Colleen from the Cult that chases after her and the dark powers that consume her soul.

Will he able to succeed in his mission or are they all destined to become lost souls to the Host of Darkness?

Risks and Challenges

I am a one-man team doing all the work: writing, pencils, inks and colors plus editing and graphic design for the entire book. The entire work is digital, which speeds up the creative process, but as always there are hurdles (malfunctioning hard-drives, corrupted files and power outages). There are other factors that might delay the release of each chapter such as disease and injury.

But I will always try to deliver the promised rewards on time and let backers know of any possible delays.
